DFI Day 2 - Hamilton F2F Cohort

What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
That the kaupapa and pedagogy has been co-created for over more than a decade to get the maximum impact of teaching and learning in this digital environment. Taking in to account all the research and findings along the way. All the while teachers are being supported to work within the digital world and teach within the digital realm... but not just the digital world as we're not throwing the baby out with the bath water.

What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
Embedding video is my blog is rather exciting and looking forward to having more goes at that, once I get the hang of recording myself in google meets... and in other mediums as well.

What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
Another day of crazy fast learning, that I am glad I can rewind the lessons. Looking forward to using and getting more confident with google meets. I had a good grasp on sorting my bookmarks and email already, but have learnt a few extra tricks to use them more efficiently.

What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?
Pretty much as above. Looking forward to getting more confident with google meets and taking advantage of all it's features.

Below are my attempts at recording my google meet and then learning how to embed it into my blog (super exciting to be able to do that).

  1. Kia ora Kirsten,

There is so much new learning we need to undertake when we are recording these Meet sessions! I'm glad you managed to get it recorded and onto your blog. Make sure when you are sharing things on your blog you've set the correct sharing permissions. Your second video is public which is awesome I was able to have a look, but your first video is private - if you want others to see it you will need to change those settings. Also remember to check the preview of your blog post to see how your tasks are sitting in there. You can adjust the size in the HTML by looking for the width and height and adjusting those.
